What is NNELS?
The National Network for Equitable Library Services (NNELS) provides access to downloadable audio books and other accessible formats restricted to people with print disabilities.
How do I access NNELS content?
For more information and tutorials, visit https://nnels.ca/help/download, or contact your local library staff.
Who is eligible to use NNELS material?
NNELS materials have been produced for people who have print disabilities which includes:
- Severe or total impairment of sight or hearing or the inability to focus or move one's eyes
- The inability to hold or manipulate a book
- An impairment relating to comprehension
A person meeting one or more of these conditions can ask his or her public library staff to set them up as a "Print Impaired" patron.
