Part of being an effective instructor involves understanding how adults learn best. Compared to children and teens, adults have special needs and requirements as learners.  The relatively new field of adult learning was pioneered by Malcom Knowles. He identified characteristics of adult learners that will be discussed in this session.

Participants will benefit by:

• Learning more about adult learning principles,
• Understanding various learning styles
• Receiving an overview of lesson planning.
