Those who call Nobleford home will now enjoy full access to library services. The Town of Nobleford council passed a resolution to join the Chinook Arch Regional Library System during a December 6th meeting.

 

“On behalf of the Town of Nobleford Council, I am pleased to announce the decision to become a member of the Chinook Arch Regional Library System” says Mayor Bill Oudshoorn. “Literacy is one of the fundamentals of successful communities and equal and enhanced access to different forms of reading and information in all formats is a positive thing. Being part of Chinook Arch gives our citizens the opportunity to conveniently access educational and recreational resources available online and across Southern Alberta.”

 

There are over 900,000 items that library cardholders can borrow, including books, movies, music, video games, and more. There is also an extensive online collection, which includes eBooks, audiobooks, online magazines and newspapers, as well as access to learning apps like Gale Courses (online courses) and Solaro (homework help for grades 3 to 12).

 

“Chinook Arch exists so that all southwestern Albertans can access public library services through the incredible public libraries in the region,” says Robin Hepher, Chinook Arch CEO. “This decision by the Town of Nobleford council means that Nobleford residents can now enjoy the life-changing benefit of full access to library materials for enjoyment and life-long learning.”
